You can set Piezo to record from any open application, including web browsers, Skype, and even Spotify. This might come in handy if you're looking to record Skype or Google Voice calls on the fly, or if you need to capture audio from a webapp. Piezo doesn't come with a lot of recording options and you can't adjust levels or tinker with the recorded audio, but its ease of use will come in handy if you're looking to make a quick recording.
Unfortunately, there are few good ways to do this without explicitly breaking the law, but I recently discovered a novel concept for recording tracks from various services, including Google, Spotify, Pandora, SoundCloud, and others. Using Piezo by Rogue Amoeba, you won't have to download torrents, use a friend's login, or any other workarounds.

3) In the bottom left click the + sign, and then click “Create Multi-Output Device”. Click on the device on the left to rename it something like “Multi-Output: Built-in Output AND Soundflower (2ch)”. On the right, click the “use” checkbox next to Built-in Output and Soundflower (2ch).
Now connect the EDU5 with a USB cable to your computer and switch on the EDU5.

The paid version is quite expensive.
Simple and intuitive interface.
The basic issue is you need to mix both the OUTPUT from skype and the INPUT from your microphone and send that to your recording program, but you want to send only the OUTPUT from skype to your speakers/headphones. Here’s the simplest, most failsafe way I was able to find to do that for free. For what it’s worth, you can also just pay for a program like?Piezo?that does all this automatically.
